A horizontal slatted aluminium garage door runs 120mm slats across the face of the door in a smooth profile. Roos builds every panel to fit the measured opening rather than trimming a standard door to suit it. Standard sizes are 2500 by 2180 for a single and 5000 by 2180 for a double, powder coated front and back.

Slatted Aluminium Questions
What is a horizontal slatted aluminium garage door?
Aluminium slats run horizontally across the face of the door, giving an even, repeating line from top to bottom. Ours are 120mm deep in a smooth profile, which is the only profile we manufacture.
Is a slatted aluminium door suitable for the coast?
Yes. Aluminium does not rust, which is why we recommend it for homes near the sea. Our George and Gqeberha branches also stock galvanised torsion poles and nylon hinges for the same reason.
What size are the slats?
120mm. Every slat on every door is the same depth, so the shadow line stays even across the full width, including on a double door.
What colours are available?
Five standard powder coated finishes: Charcoal, White, Bronze, Black and Stone Grey. Hardware and sprockets are colour matched to the door. Custom colours are available on request.
What are the standard slatted door sizes?
2500mm wide by 2180mm high for a single, and 5000mm by 2180mm for a double. Anything outside those is built to your measured opening as a special order.
Can a slatted aluminium door be automated?
Yes. We fit the Eazy Lift Mark II, our own sectional motor. Its universal receiver takes any remote and the battery backup keeps the door working through a power outage.
