What makes a frameless garage door different?
The face is a single composite aluminium sheet, so there is no visible frame and no panel divisions. The structure sits behind the sheet rather than on it, which is what gives the door an unbroken front.
Can I automate a frameless aluminium garage door?
Yes. We fit the Eazy Lift Mark II, our own sectional motor. Its universal receiver takes any remote and the battery backup keeps the door working through a power outage.
Is the door completely smooth?
The front is one uninterrupted sheet, so yes by default. Profiles can be varied if you want some definition in the face. The gallery shows what we have run before, which is the easiest way to settle on a look.
What colours are available?
Five standard powder coated finishes: Charcoal, White, Bronze, Black and Stone Grey. Hardware is colour matched to the door. Custom colours are available on request.
Is it suitable for coastal environments?
Yes. Aluminium does not rust the way steel does, which is why we recommend it for homes near the sea. Our George and Gqeberha branches also stock galvanised torsion poles and nylon hinges for the same reason.
