Aluminium Garage Doors

Three ranges, built in our own factory and powder coated on every face, including the sprockets behind the door.

Roos aluminium garage doors are powder coated front and back, and on the rear sprockets. Three ranges: horizontal slatted, framed and frameless. All are built at our Centurion factory, fitted with side weather seals as standard, and suited to coastal homes because aluminium does not rust.

The Aluminium Collection

Horizontal Slatted Aluminium

Contemporary design. Built to fit your opening.

A 120mm slat in a smooth profile, with panels built to fit your opening rather than a standard door trimmed to suit it. Standard sizes are 2500mm by 2180mm for a single and 5000mm by 2180mm for a double, with anything outside that built to order.

Powder coated front and back, with the sprockets and hardware colour matched to the door. Nylon hinges keep it running quietly, in five standard colours with custom finishes on request.

Framed Aluminium

Defined by clean lines

The aluminium frame stays visible, with a Perspex or aluminium infill panel set inside it. Choose it when you want structure and panel detail on the face of the door.

Aluminium does not rust, so it holds its finish on the coast. Built and coated at our Centurion factory, as every Roos door has been since 2001.

Frameless Aluminium

Seamless from edge to edge

A composite aluminium sheet runs across the front of the door, giving a smooth face with no visible divisions. Choose it for a minimal, architectural finish.

Coated on every face, front and back. Side weather seals are fitted as standard, which counts for more on a flush door with no frame to shed water.

Aluminium Garage Door Colours

Framed aluminium questions

Which garage door is best for coastal areas?

Aluminium. It does not rust the way steel does, which matters most within a few kilometres of the sea. Our George and Gqeberha branches also stock galvanised torsion poles and nylon hinges for the same reason.

How long does installation take?

A standard replacement is usually a single visit once the door has been manufactured. Lead time depends on the range, the size and the colour, so your branch will confirm both when they quote.

What colours are available?

Five standard powder coated finishes: Charcoal, White, Bronze, Black and Stone Grey. Hardware and sprockets are colour matched to the door. Custom colours are available on request.

Do you offer custom sizes?

Yes. Panels are built to fit your opening rather than a standard door being trimmed to suit it. Standard slatted sizes are 2500 by 2180 for a single and 5000 by 2180 for a double, and anything outside that is a special order.

Can I automate my garage door?

Yes. We fit the Eazy Lift Mark II, our own sectional motor. Its universal receiver takes any remote and the battery backup keeps the door working through a power outage.

How do I maintain my garage door?

Aluminium asks very little. Wash it down with mild soap and water when it needs it, and book an annual service so the moving parts stay right. Serviced yearly, a set of springs lasts up to ten years.
